Bracket Clocks

An exceptional bracket clock of good proportions with an enamel and gilt brass dial showing strike-silent in the arch as well as calendar. Fish scale frets to both sides with a 'Pull repeat' cord to the right. The ebonised case is on fruit wood and standing on cast brass bracket feet with a cast handle to the bell top. Quarter chiming and with the original 'Verge' escapement. A fully engraved back plate with glazed rear door. Please see the more detailed photos . This clock dates circa 1790. The Clay family were clockmakers throughout the 17th Century with Charles Clay making for George II. Sold fully overhauled and with a 12 month RTB guarantee . Viewing recommended
