Here we have a fine gilt carriage clock in remarkably original condition with a little, possibly Military history. The clock has engraved very small on the rear of the base "James Dummer A present from Col Whitbread". The clock strikes the hours and half hours on a bell and has an alarm facility. The push repeat button is the early 'through the glass' type which is preferable. The gilt is the original and still very good with only minor blemishes. The design of the case is substantial with thick beveled white glass to all sides.
