Henri Jacot , Grande Sonnerie
A Large gilded , pinched corner , gorge case , Grande Sonnerie Carriage clock with Alarm in very original condition with a large top glass to view the original Bi-metallic , split , jewelled lever escapement . Gong striking on the Hour and with Grande Sonnerie you also have the quarter , half and three-quarter strike on two gongs - ' ting tang ' following the hour strike . If you prefer you can choose petite sonnerie or silent by simply switching a small lever to the base . The movement is completely original and working perfectly . This Grande Sonnnerie Carriage clock being of superb quality and with the addition of Alarm which is quite rare , has bevelled white glass , all of which are in superb condition . The inside of the backplate is Stamped Henri Jacot (to the middle) and can be dated to around 1895 , the clock is also numbered 1838 .... please click here or on the image to see detailed photos.
