A fine matt gilt carriage clock in a solid cast 'gorge' case with gong strike and push repeat , the enamelled dial showing Roman numerals , blued steel breguet hands and an attractive shaped handle . Stamped and numbered lever platform escapement by J.Soldano . Joseph Soldano was an early carraige clock producer and was largely responsible for the improvement of fine quality carriage clock production . He was awarded the - Legion d'Honneur for his services to French Horology and won the Gold medal at the Paris exhibition in 1834 . Circa 1870 .
