Margaine , Grande Sonnerie with Alarm
A substantial , satin gilt , pinched corner , gorge case , Grande Sonnerie Carriage clock with Alarm in original condition with a large top glass to view the original Bi-metallic ,jewelled lever escapement . Gong striking on the Hour , with Grande Sonnerie you also have the quarter , half and three-quarter strike on two gongs - ' ting tang ' following the hour strike . If you prefer you can choose petite sonnerie or silent by simply switching a small lever to the base . The movement is completely original , fully serviced and working perfectly . This Grande Sonnnerie Carriage clock has the addition of an Alarm and has bevelled white glass , all of which are in superb condition and are the original . The backplate is stamped with the Margaine Logo and can be dated to circa 1895-1900 , the clock is also numbered 9565 and retains the original Key which is also numbered....
