Carriage Clocks

Pearce and Sons,Paris .

A fine example of a large 'Anglais Riche' carriage clock with push repeat . This was made by E.Maurice and Co who showed clocks at the Paris exhibition of 1889 . The clock was made for Pearce and Sons who retailed clocks in London from 1881 . The clock retains the original silvered , jewelled lever escapement . The clock strikes on Gong for the hours and the half hours . The dial retains the original gilt finish with Roman numerals and retailers name. Circa 1905-10 .
