Carriage Clocks

An unusual shaped and faceted , decorative gorge case Carraige clock in very original condition with a large top glass to view the original Bi-metallic ,Silvered & Jewelled lever platform escapement , the clock retains its white Glass all of which have been bevelled and in perfect condition . This carriage clock is signed on the Dial , Tiffany  Reed & Co , Paris and Geneva . Tiffany Reed & Co opened at 79 Rue de Richelieu after forming a partnership with G.F.T Reed in 1850 and by 1853 Charles Louis Tiffany had renamed the store Tiffany and Co , so we can safely date this clock to within three years . Tiffany often used Drocourt to make their clocks and upon initial inspection this appears so . The clock strikes on the hour on a gong and once for the half hour , more pictures will follow on completion of servicing / overhauling the movement .
