A flame mahogany of good colour , Scottish longcase in the classic keyhole shape or "Drumhead" as they are known , great proportions with long trunk door . A 13inch Painted dial showing Roman Numerals for the Chapter ring with Seconds and Calendar within . The 8 day duration weight driven movement is in superb condition and has been  fully restored . With seconds beat pendulum . A.Breckenridge of Kilmarnock is recorded in 'Old Scottish Clockmakers 1453-1850' by John Smith as working from 1799-1848. Alexander Breckenridge died in 1848 and it is recorded that his daughter carried on the business with his son . .
