A fine mahogany longcase clock with full brass dial and moon phase to the arch , The hood , with fluted columns , brass capitols a double 'broken-arch' typical of th e Bristol area , also with 'Blind' fret work between the arches . The shaped panelled base is  canted and fluted to match the trunk and trunk door , standing on the original bracket feet . The full brass and silvered dial is in superb condition and showing outstanding hand engraving with calendar aperture and seconds dial within the chapter ring . To the arch is phases of the moon and the High Tide at Bristol Key wording  . The movement is of good quality  and strikes the Hour on a bell and runs for 8 days on a single wind . Aaron Austin is Listed in Watch and Clockmakers of the World by G.H.Baille - working 1775 until 1797 . This clock dates Circa 1790.
