A Scottish flame mahogany longcase clock with classic 'Belly door' and cushion moulding above , The hood , with turned mahogany columns and a swan neck pediment , the Panelled base has single plinth with Bracket feet . The Painted dial is in superb condition and has a painting of two dogs to the arch , one a Spaniel the other a Terrior . The movement is of good quality and strikes the Hour on a bell and runs for a week on a single wind . Charles Howden is Listed in Watch and Clockmakers of the World by B.Loomes - working 1860 .
