Longcase Clocks

W.Smith of Aberdeen 1840

A flame mahogany Scottish longcase in the classic keyhole shape or "Drumhead" as they are known , great proportions with long trunk door and panelled base with a 12 inch Painted dial showing Roman Numerals for the Chapter ring with Seconds and Calendar within ,the 8 day duration weight driven movement is in fine condition with seconds beat pendulum W, Smith of Aberdeen is recorded in 'Old Scottish Clockmakers 1453-1850' by John Smith as working from 1799.
