An early 12" Convex Dial with a small 'drop' in a Mahogany case , shaped 4 pillar fusee movement of 8 day duration , The Dial is signed Jas Elliot of Portsea , who is recorded working around 1830 - although this clock would possibly date a little earlier at 1820 and has its original Hands . A very narrow wooden surround and a cast brass Bezel with the original convex glass . This is a fine example of a Drop Dial wall clock and has all the early features you would expect , Viewing recommended but click image to see close up pictures
