A good 'drop dial' wall clock in a figured mahogany case of good proportions , the 12 inch enamel dial signed by J.W.Benson of Ludgate Hill , London. The chain fusee movement , going for a week on a wind. The polished brass bezel latched and lower convex door held with lock and key . Circa 1880. James William Benson is recorded from 1857 to 1887 in Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World Vol 2 . 12 month R.T.B guarantee.
